Monkeys of Bollywood Movie

Monkeys of Bollywood movieDreamworks has greenlit Monkeys of Bollywood, an animated musical movie in the spirit of India's Bollywood cinema. Hindu epic poem "The Ramayana" inspired the Bollywood-style animated musical. There's some serious talent to back the project:

Producers Paul Berges and Gurinder Chadha, Broadway lyricist Stephen Schwartz and Composer A.R. Rahman.

A few words from lyricist Stephen Schwartz about the Monkeys of Bollywood:

"As soon as I heard that DreamWorks Animation envisioned making an animated Bollywood movie, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. The fact that A.R. Rahman got involved made it an even more exciting project."
lyricist Stephen Schwartz

Plot:
"The story will be set in Mumbai and follows two monkeys who try to stop a long forgotten demon from conquering the world."

Indian names are attached to the film, and it sounds like a great project to promote the Ramayana, but I bet some fundamentalist Hindus will still try to fuel a useless controversy...

Anyway, can singing monkeys save the world? Well, more details about the Monkeys of Bollywood soon!
